As part of its ongoing fundraising efforts, the Malaysian Elephant Appeal established the Elephant Adoption Program. Over the years, many people from all over the world adopted the elephants at Kuala Gandah. They received a photo of the elephant, a write-up of the elephant's biography, an adoption certificate and, in some cases, were accompanied by someone from the Malaysian Elephant Appeal to visit the elephant centre. In 2009 we are winding down our operations and so are phasing out the adoption program. Many thanks to everyone who supported the Appeal's projects through elephant adoptions!
